Plan to spend another fabulous NightOUT with the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation on November 19, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., when we welcome veteran U.S. Supreme Court correspondent Tony Mauro and internationally acclaimed mentalist and entertainer Joe Curcillo, the MindShark.
The Pennsylvania Bar Foundation’s annual NightOUT takes a new turn this year with an evening dedicated to timely commentary and astonishing feats.
The keynote commentary will be provided by veteran U.S. Supreme Court correspondent Tony Mauro. Mauro is U.S. Supreme Court correspondent for The National Law Journal and Legal Times. He has covered the Supreme Court for 35 years, first for Gannett News Service and USA TODAY and then, since 2000, for Legal Times, The National Law Journal and now Supreme Court Brief, a subscription newsletter about the court. Washingtonian magazine has twice included Mauro on its list of the top 50 journalists in Washington. He is a longtime member of the steering committee of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and in 2010 was inducted into the Freedom of Information Hall of Fame in recognition of his advocacy for openness in courts and other institutions.
The astonishing feats will be provided by mentalist, entertainer and national top 100 trial lawyer Joe Curcillo, the MindShark. Curcillo has performed for over 30 years into all types of venues. From Vegas casinos to New York corporate offices to Caribbean Resorts to cheap motels in Des Moines, but his favorite place is in YOUR head! While you are on his mind trip, he truly wants you to enjoy the ride. You don’t have to keep your hands and feet in the vehicle, and you won’t have time to ask “Mom, are we there yet?” But when you least expect it, you will be asking: “Holy ESP Batman, is he really reading minds?”
In addition to the stellar commentary and entertainment, the evening includes social time with cash bar, a three course meal with a choice of entrees, and time for fellowship and camaraderie.
Tickets are $100, $30 of which qualifies as a charitable contribution to the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation! The net proceeds of the event support the statewide loan repayment assistance program that works to make a public service career more affordable for those attorneys who provide direct civil legal services to Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable through one of the 38 IOLTA-funded civil legal services organizations across Pennsylvania.
