Dues Check-off


Since 2003, the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation has benefited from the generosity of Pennsylvania Bar Association members through a check-off mechanism appearing on the annual Pennsylvania Bar Association dues bill.

Each year, PBA members are asked to support the Foundation by making a voluntary $20 contribution as part of their annual dues payment to the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The first $25,000 raised by the check-up is used to support the operation of the Foundation. Funds raised in excess of $25,000 are expended at the direction of the Board of Directors. In the past, these funds have been used to supplement the Foundation grant stream and to enrich the cash awards associated with the annual Goffman Awards presentation recognizing outstanding pro bono work by an individual and an organization.
